Containers

In Cassette, objects (files) are stored in containers and these act like folders in traditional digital storage. To create a container, visit our container page and click Create new container.

Within the Create new container modal, give your container a name. Please note, the container name can not be updated in the future.

Container permissions

There are 4 levels of container permissions; Public Read, Public Write, Public Read/Write and Private. Permissions once set, can be updated in the future. With your container permissions set, click Create container.

Please note container domain management is currently restricted to third party wallets (Neon Wallet and O3 Wallet). For native wallets, only container name and container permissions can be set.

Objects

Objects are the files that can be added to your container. To upload files to your container, visit the container page and click on your container. There are 2 ways to upload files - one via the Upload files button or via Drop files here... UI.

View & Share objects

Objects can be viewed and shared via the browser, or via Cassette itself. To share an object click on the respective file, and click the URL under File URL (ID) to copy. Paste the URL into the browser (or click View in web browser) to view the file in a traditional browser.

Alternatively click on the URL under Cassette URL to copy the Cassette-specific URL starting cstt://. Paste the URL into the browser to instigate the Browse functionality of Cassette. In order to view Cassette URLs, the Cassette app is required to be downloaded and installed on a computer.
